Tenement Under Application
Prospect Korovou

Korovou Prospect is the southern most prospect of all the tenements held or applied for by VML and contains an area of 31,400 hectares.

It is about 45km ESE of Nadi City and borders the following prospects of VML:

•  the eastern boundary of SPL 1457 of Vunamoli;

•  the southern boundary of SPL 1458 of Nasaucoko; and

•  the southern boundary of Namedre (under application).

Again, major stream sediment and geochemical sampling was done in all the streams within this prospect and the results are encouraging enough to warrant further attention. Apart from that, no further major exploration work has been carried out to date.

In short, the area needs much more attention but the interesting factor about Korovou is that it borders major manganese producing areas with proven manganese mineralisation e.g. Nasaucoko, Vunamoli and Namedre and it also has most of the features that are conducive to manganese deposition
